		Audiometric Testing & Screening ^{Part II} 1½-Day Course (non-certification) This 1½-day seminar will teach you how to conduct the whispered voice test for DOT screenings. However, it will also show you how to use your audiometer to conduct an accurate and more valid hearing screening (in less than 30 seconds). Part II is intended for those interested in the details of audiometric screening, pure-tone threshold audiometric testing, otoscopy, and the identification of ear pathology. In this seminar, you’ll get plenty of hands-on lab experience conducting hearing screenings, pure-tone audiometry, and hearing protection fitting. Part II could be taken by those who simply want to learn how to do audiometric testing. This could be support staff in a medical or audiology office where there is direct professional supervision. This training alone, however, does not qualify you for certification by the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC). Such certification is recommended by NIOSH, preferred by OSHA, required by MSHA, and mandated by the State of Illinois under its Department of Professional Regulations. In addition, other states with their own OSHA operations may also require CAOHC certification, so be sure to check with your state. By completing Part I and Part II (in the same or next session), you will be eligible for certification.
